We didn't start Classic Borrego to chase fortunes or pretend we're pioneers of bootmaking. We grew up admiring boots crafted with pride, noticing over time how genuine quality slipped behind flashy marketing and cut corners. We're not reinventing boots—we're simply restoring them, fueled by honesty, grit, and Texas-sized stubbornness.

Where Other Brands Went Wrong

Somewhere along the line, the boot industry lost its way. Craftsmanship got replaced by catchy campaigns. "Handcrafted" became a hollow buzzword, costs soared while quality plummeted, and influencers overshadowed true artisans. The soul of bootmaking faded. We're certainly not the first to notice—but we're among the few determined enough to bring authenticity back.

Every pair of Classic Borrego boots is genuinely handcrafted in León, Mexico—the boot capital of the world. We insist on full-grain leather, traditional wood-pegged shanks, and classic techniques most brands abandoned years ago.

We don’t roll out new collections every season. No influencer hype. No cowboy cosplay at rented ranches. Classic Borrego launched quietly in Houston in 2023, built from the ground up without investors, shortcuts, or corporate oversight—just two Texans balancing full-time jobs, families, and late nights packing leather and building dreams.

We personally oversee every boot before it ships, and reply to every message. What began among friends and family quickly spread through word of mouth, surpassing our expectations. Now, we're bringing that same genuine experience directly to you.
