Sizing & Fit Guide

True-to-Size. No Guesswork. Easy Returns.

Every foot’s a little different — we get that. But we built these boots to fit true to size based on standard Western boot sizing.

If you wear a size 10D in other cowboy or Western boots, you should be able to wear a size 10D in Classic Borrego. No weird conversions. No second-guessing.

✅ Fit Breakdown

  • Fit Style: Snug out of the box — molds to your foot as you wear them
  • Width: Standard D-width with a roomy toe box
  • Break-In Time: 1–3 wears for most folks
  • Between Sizes? Size down if you like a tighter fit. Still unsure? Reach out here.

🤠 How Cowboy Boots Should Fit

A proper fit isn’t about feeling loose or overly tight — it’s about balance and support in all the right places. Here’s what to expect from a well-fitting boot:

  • Instep: The boot should hug the top of your foot snugly. This gives you stability without laces.
  • Heel Slip: You’ll feel a slight lift (about 1/4 inch) in the heel when new. That’s normal — it disappears as the leather molds to your foot.
  • Toe Room: Your toes should rest flat and feel comfortable — not jammed or pinched.
  • Ball of Foot: The widest part of your foot should sit right over the widest part of the boot sole for proper flex when walking.

Bottom line? A solid fit means comfort now and better wear over time.

👣 What to Expect When You First Wear ’Em

  • Wear the socks you’d normally wear with boots
  • Some heel slip at first? That’s expected — it’ll settle in after a few wears
  • Let the leather work — it’ll shape to your foot quickly

🔁 Free Returns. No Stress.

We’re a small brand, but we stand behind our fit. If they don’t work for you, we offer free returns and exchanges — no hassle, no guilt. If there’s a chance you’ll return them, we just ask that you test them out on clean carpet or a rug to keep the soles in good shape. That way, we can give the boots a second life if needed. Fair deal, right?
